Liquid basecoats are an essential part of painting using the Bob Ross wet-on-wet technique.

Liquid Opal is a very slow drying oil paint designed to provide a proper oil painting surface, when used as a base coat. 

Liquid Opal can also be used to thin other oil colours for application over thicker paint. Apply a thin, even coat of Liquid Opal over the entire surface area and do not allow to dry before you begin painting. Mix well before using and thin only using Bob Ross Odourless Thinner.

Liquid Opal has a shimmery finish ideal for floral painting.
