Pastelmat offers pastel artists new opportunities with a unique surface that grabs pastels more effectively than Ingres papers but is less abrasive then sanded papers.
The velvety surface has powerful pigment absorption for vibrant colour that remains stable without fixatives. Allows for a more painterly control in applying pigment, displaying soft buttery marks.
Supports repeated layering to build up tonal values. Iin addition to pastel and pastel pencils, Pastelmat will support most dry and wet media including: oil pastels, charcoal, coloured pencils, acrylics, watercolours and gouache.
Archival quality with neutral pH. Acid free. 360gsm (170lb) weight.
Pastelmat pads have glassine sheet protectors between each page. Available in assorted colour palettes and each pad contain 12 sheets.
