3. Product Information

We aim to ensure that all product descriptions, images and prices on our website are accurate. However, occasional errors may occur.

We reserve the right to correct errors and update product information without prior notice.

3.1 Colour Representation

We make every effort to display product colours as accurately as possible. However, colours shown on screens may vary depending on device settings, screen calibration and lighting conditions.

Colours displayed on our website should therefore be considered a guide only and may not exactly match the product received.

Some art materials may vary slightly between production batches due to the nature of pigments and manufacturing processes.

3.3 Batch Variations

Some art materials, particularly paints and pigments, may vary slightly in colour, texture or consistency between production batches. Such variations are normal and do not indicate a fault.

We cannot guarantee that products are suitable for every artistic technique or application. Customers are responsible for selecting products appropriate for their intended use.

4. Orders & Contract Formation

A contract between you and The Art Shop Skipton is formed when you receive an order confirmation email.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including product availability, pricing or description errors, payment authorisation failure, or suspected fraudulent activity.

If payment has already been taken for an order that is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely via Mollie.

Where Klarna or similar buy now, pay later options are selected, you enter into a separate agreement with Klarna and Klarna’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

We do not store full payment card details.

6. Delivery

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday excluding UK bank holidays.

Orders placed before 15:00 (3pm) are usually dispatched the same working day, subject to stock availability and successful payment processing.

Standard delivery is typically 2–3 working days within the UK.

We use Royal Mail and other courier services depending on the size, weight and nature of the items ordered.

Delivery times provided are estimates and are not guaranteed.

If goods are not delivered within 30 days and no alternative timeframe has been agreed, you may cancel the order for a full refund.

Delivery times may be longer during busy periods such as holidays or promotional events.

6.1 Shipping Restrictions

Due to carrier regulations, some products cannot be shipped to certain locations or via specific delivery services. Where restrictions apply, we will contact customers to arrange an alternative delivery method or provide a refund if shipping is not possible.

7. Risk & Title

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery.

Ownership of goods passes to you once full payment has been received.

8. Hazardous Materials

Certain products sold on our website, including solvents, aerosols and other art materials, may be classified as hazardous for transport.

Due to shipping regulations, these items may require courier delivery rather than standard postal services and may incur additional delivery restrictions or charges.

We reserve the right to adjust the shipping method or contact customers if an alternative delivery service is required.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are used safely and appropriately.

8.2 Professional Use

8.3 Age Restrictions

Certain products may be unsuitable for children. Customers purchasing products from this website confirm that they are at least 18 years old where required by applicable regulations.

8.4 Manufacturer Instructions

9. Cancellation Rights (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

Goods must be returned within 14 days of cancellation.

Refunds will include the cost of standard outbound delivery and will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the original payment method.

10. Returns

We offer free UK returns.

Returned items must be unused, in original packaging, and securely packaged for return shipping.

International returns are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item is faulty or damaged.

11. Faulty Goods

If goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, you are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Please contact us as soon as possible if a problem occurs.

12. Promotions & Discount Codes

Promotional codes cannot normally be combined unless stated, have no cash alternative, may be withdrawn or modified at any time, and must not be used fraudulently.

We reserve the right to cancel orders where promotional codes have been misused.

13. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to fulfil orders caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including postal strikes, courier delays, supplier disruptions or natural events.

14. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or breach of statutory consumer rights.

Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
